Life transition and difficulties

A life transition can be a pleasant or unpleasant experience, planned, or unexpected. Some transitions happen without warning, and they may be quite dramatic. Sometimes we do not have resources to manage the changes that come with it or the consequences of the transitions are not what we were expecting.

Family difficulties

Family conflicts, arguments, communication difficulties, parenting difficulties.

Family difficulties

Most families will experience some obstacles at times. Family dynamics are extraordinarily complex, it affects us as a person, and our own behaviour can affect the family as well. Individual therapy can help to improve some family difficulties, and sometimes it can be a good addition to a separate family therapy process.

Therapy has been also known as counselling or psychotherapy and it is a resource that enables you to understand what is going on and make sense of your mental health symptoms; you will find strategies to deal with them, aiming to get back on track, regain control, feel better, and stop them interfering with your life.

According to the American Psychological Association, “Psychologists help people of all ages live happier, healthier and more productive lives.”

Therapy provides a space to pause and to check in with yourself, to take care of your own emotional life. It is a moment where we invest time and energy to explore and understand our thoughts and feelings.
