ABOUT ME

Jose Rodriguez

Clinical Psychologist

I am registered in the UK with the Health and Care Professional Council (Reg No. PYL35477), and the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT) which means that I work within the ethical framework of these organisations, and I am committed to continual professional development and have regular supervision to ensure that I provide excellence in my practice.

I am a bilingual Clinical Psychologist, with more than 13 years’ experience providing effective therapy in English and Spanish, for adults. I use different therapeutic approaches, such as Psychodynamic therapy, in different backgrounds and settings. I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT) therapist.

During my career I have gained experience working with people to overcome depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. I also have helped people who have experienced trauma, family problems, domestic violence, bereavement, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), behavioural problems, and attachment disorder.

My qualifications

My approach

As a clinical psychologist, I offer a curious, compassionate, collaborative and supportive space where adults can explore the challenges and patterns shaping their lives. My approach integrates Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and EMDR, helping you understand how past experiences and early relationships influence your present.

By working together with openness and care, we can make sense of difficult feelings, create understanding, and uncover new perspectives. I am committed to walking alongside you with empathy and respect.

Curious

Being curious with you about your life experiences will help us to create understanding of your current situation, hoping that this brings changes.

Collaborative

I work together with my clients, creating a team where we both are equal, think and experience together, aiming to create new experiences.

Compassionate

Creating a safe and compassionate space is vital for trusting each other. A space where you can feel valued, understood, seen, accepted and validated.

I found sessions with Jose very efficient, respectful and impactful. I approached Jose to help me with my anger and the results exceed my expectations. I am not only much better at controlling myself but more importantly Jose helped me to understand the underlying causes and provided me techniques to deal with situations. I highly recommend Jose. Thank you.

Working with Jose helped me a lot, especially since my expectations were non-existent. I wish I knew therapy would help me much sooner. I don’t think I could’ve got to where I am right now without this help. Thank you, Jose.

Very professional, effective and efficient. Highly recommended. Jose’s approach is respectful and deep at the same time. He triggered me to think more carefully about reasons for my dissatisfaction. I am better prepared now to cope with what’s going on. Thank you.
